Microsoft Teams for Home Users
This new Microsoft Teams comes with the basic feature package, so no, it’s not as powerful as the one aimed at companies. You still get text, chat, and video calling, support for groups, list, documents, and calendar sharing, Microsoft 365 integration, and location sharing.
Furthermore, the app comes with a so-called Safe that allows the sharing of sensitive information.
“Teams also comes with a Safe, which lets you securely store and share important information, like passwords, rewards numbers, or login information. You can easily share right from the Teams app so your whole family has easy access to the home Wi-Fi password or your streaming service login, all backed by the security of two-factor authentication and end-to-end encryption”
The app is available in preview today on Android and iOS, and all you need is a Microsoft account. If you already configured Teams with your work account, just configure the personal one and then switch between them from within the app. Desktop clients are projected to launch later this year.
